01 / Record what you already use
List the rooms you want to upgrade. Photograph each board from the outside and note the lights, fans or other points it controls. Give every board a clear location name so your photos and notes are easy to match.
You can prepare this brief without opening a switchboard. Leave electrical inspection and installation to a qualified electrician.
02 / Choose the change that matters to you
Perhaps you want app control for a living room, a coordinated finish during a renovation, or easier access to a group of lights. Write down your priorities before selecting a product.
If you want voice control, scenes or schedules, mention the app and devices you already use. Ask Vesta to confirm the functions available on the exact models being considered, rather than assuming every connected control behaves the same way.
03 / Arrange a compatibility check
Ask your electrician to review the existing wiring, back-box dimensions, connected loads and fan type against the proposed product requirements. Whether a replacement fits an existing board depends on these details.
Share the findings with Vesta before the quotation is finalised. Ask what installation work will be needed, who will carry it out and how it fits the rest of your renovation schedule.
04 / Plan the handover as well as the installation
Request a demonstration of everyday operation, app setup and any supported sharing options. Discuss what happens when the internet is unavailable or power returns, because this can vary by product and configuration.
Keep the invoice, written warranty terms and product details together. If you need help later, the support request form lets you send the purchase details and a description of the issue. Keep the request reference for follow-up.
Document the existing boards, confirm compatibility with a qualified electrician and agree the installation scope before purchase.
